If a man has a crutch, you can bet he needs it.
However, if he doesn’t need it, it will hinder him.
If he is afraid to give it up, and he is being hurt by it, the best solution is to gradually shorten it.
But that crutch wouldn’t have existed if it wasn’t needed at some point.
