Obama Admin Wants to Make Wounded Vets Use Private Insurance

Well, VA care isn’t the greatest. My husband is a 60 percent disabled vet, we went to the VA about 3 years ago, his back was so bad that he couldn’t stand up straight and I had to practically carry him through the ER doors. They hardly examined him, after several trips they finally ordered an MRI, the MRI department was suppose to send us an appointment date. 3 years later we’re still waiting on the appointment. Luckily his back seemed to have cleared up on its own and that was the last time he used the VA. I’ve tried to tell people that the military is a great example of socialized health care…but people only think ‘free’ and that’s all that matters.

Several years ago our clinic was so short on doctors due to Iraq rotations that you could not get an appointment for weeks on end. My daughter had been sick for a week and I called daily for an appointment…only after throwing a fit was she seen, she had pneumonia. One other time we took her to the ER because she fell while roller skating…they took an x-ray, told us it wasn’t broken and sent us on our way. On my way home they called and said someone had misread the x-ray and to please come back because it was broken…

I could go on with other stories…such as giving birth in a military facility with an extreme shortage of staff, I practically gave birth by myself. THAT’S what everyone gets to look forward to with Obamacare.
