That’s a tough story. Some will look on him with disgust forever. My wife is one of those people. Domestic animals are, for the most part, beings that simply are helpless in the face of whatever their owners choose to do, and my wife and I are pretty tightly bonded in the hatred of people who betray the animal/person relationship. She will always want me to change the channel when they are talking about Vick this and Vick that. Thing is, I can see where he came from, why he just didn’t have a context for the horror of what he was doing, and why he deserves a chance to prove he’s learned. He has proven to be a good man at many points along the way (unlike his little brother), and I think that will prove true here too.
