Gee, I wish people had been this outraged when the VA’s budget was put under the knife again and again. At least a dozen bills aimed at helping veterans have been filibustered to death, but you don’t hear about them much because the GOP has been too busy ranting and raving about “EXPLODING DEFICITS!!”

Exactly. This strikes me as Congressional theater at its worse. Where the hell were these people when the VA’s budget was being cut when officials of a certain party were demanding cuts to “entitlements.”
