Speaking of hyper-nationalism, what is it with these “debates” and the stage backings? Doesn’t really matter where or with whom, but somehow there are the flag motifs woven in and out of the entire scene.

Not to mention the insanely martial music. Pounding drums and blaring trumpets.

I’d love to see a political event for once with normal music. Or no music.
