Are you comparing the estate tax where people already paid taxes on their earnings/wealth/property to someone who enters into a contract to incur debt for a service?

Reminder: people with enough wealth to be subject to an estate tax… for the most part, that wealth is unrealized capital gains. IT’S. NEVER. BEEN. TAXED.
The value of Koch companies compared to when their dad died and left it to them, the value of Walmart stock compared to when Sam died and left it to his kids, the value of Microsoft or Google or Facebook stock compared to when the founders first invested in the company… none of that has ever been taxed.
