At this point, Obama may be calculating that the pictures will get released anyway, so the ACLU and far left are happy, but if he acts as someone trying to stop their release, then the far right can’t go after him like they did (fairly successfully) on the release of the CIA memos.

I’ll buy that.

But I would change “far right,” to “most Americans.”
