Actually, I did ask someone a few years about her opinion on Vietnam (it was relevant to our conversation.) She said we’d won because we held off communism just long enough for it to fail in the long run.

I’m afraid I was so stunned by the weirdness of that answer I was left with my mouth hanging open.

So if NVN had taken over the South earlier, Communism would have succeeded? How’s THAT work?
