A nation of 330 million needs a House of Representatives more finely graded than the current setup.

I’ve for some time thought that the Senate should be done away with. Just have the governors of all 50 States become a Board of Governors for the US, and have the various oversight agencies report to them on only the biggest stuff, and have said Board be the court for impeachments for the highest office.

Then, make the House bigger - grow it by the 100 seats gone from the Senate. A 535 seat House means fewer constituents per seat. Require House districts to be made by non-partisan boards.

A board of Governors is really no better than having two Senators per State in that it’s highly disenfranchising to people in populous states. It would be better to set a second election where the entire country ranks their picks for the already elected House and the ones who get the most votes are promoted to oversight and leadership committee positions.
