We (and by we, I mean most Democrats) have been warning about this very thing for years. We said this would happen if Trump were to enter office, and run his extremists to SCOTUS, and that’s precisely what happened. All the naysayers who claimed this was hysteria were wrong. Like so completely wrong that the naysayers should never be trusted again on any opinion they hold. It was so predictable that this would be the outcome, that those naysayers should be run from their punditry.

Of course, those same pundits will claim that Democrats are doing nothing - a lie - or move on to the next bit of punditry where they’re wrong again with no consequences.

States like NY and NJ and CA are moving to protect women’s rights, and access to health care that includes abortions, as well as protecting women who come to NJ from other states’ overreach.

Mind you, all those protections might be undone by this same SCOTUS, but we’ll have to cross that bridge when we get to that (and the naysayers will again claim that SCOTUS would never do something like that, but this Court’s extremist bench has repeatedly shown no interest in following the rule of law or precedent when invoking their policy preferences by legislating from the bench and invalidating decades (or a century’s worth) of law and jurisprudence by fiat.

This is the court that would make the modern equivalent of fugitive slave laws to deny women access to health care.

Fuck them, fuck the pundits, and naysayers about how the GOP and these fucking Christian fascists are going to ruin lives and deny people their rights. They’ve done it already, and will keep doing it.
