re: #209 Obdicut

Can you name another group that uses the word ‘tribe’, please, in the modern day?

I refer to my immediate (large) family as a tribe in a light hearted way. After doing a lot of geneological research I realized we are much like the ancient family groups. I think a lot of people who are into history and family lines are familiar with tribe, family and nation being somewhat similar. The funny thing is I see tribe as national and sometimes faith based but not so much ethnic in that context. One of the reasons tribes started out as ethnic islands is geographic isolation. We don’t have that excuse in the modern world.
