Hell, just having a touch screen interface would be an absolute horror.

Some stores here, such as IKEA and Baumax (a hardware store) have those automated self-checkout lanes. Czechs aren’t too thrilled with them, to be honest - they’re rarely used.
Tesco did have them one of their hypermarkets here - and they pulled them out once folks figured out how they get away with, for instance, buying one kilo of tomatoes for the price of one kilo of potatoes - a 70% difference in price. The machines only go by weight and the UPC sticker you’ve put on the plastic bag…..so people would weigh up their tomatoes, and then put a potato price sticker on it.
Sneaky.
