Christie: ‘If I Run, I Will Beat’ Clinton

WASHINGTON (CBS DC) — New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said Tuesday that if he runs for president he will defeat Hillary Clinton, particularly by winning votes in several blue states that Mitt Romney couldn’t capture in his 2012 loss to President Barack Obama.

Speaking with radio host Hugh Hewitt, Christie said of Clinton, “If I run, I will beat her.”

The potential Republican candidate listed Pennsylvania, New Mexico and New Hampshire as states won by Obama in 2012 that he could bring back into GOP hands. Christie also blasted legalized marijuana in Washington state, Colorado and the District of Columbia, saying if he is elected president he will “not permit it.”
