Time marches on. It stands still for no one.
Eventually “the establishment” GOP of one generation dies off, and it is replaced with… ?
It’s pretty clear from all the sources around us that the GOP now is the party of reactionary populism. It’s gone a nearly full 180 degrees from it’s founding of progressive populism.
I for one do not think Hillary is a shoe-in. I can see some populist (or pretending to be one) GOP candidate winning, though that would take a lot of coordination from currently competing groups (like Rand Pauls’ glibertarians supporting a neo-victorian Cruz/Scott combo.)
