I’ve come up with a proposal for the White House to consider, in response to all the whining about “lost” insurance polices. I propose that the White House immediately declare it will put forth legislation that will allow the federal government to seize all private insurance companies and freeze all existing policies and reinstate “grandfathered” ones.

When people (predictably) lose their shit over the idea of the federal government nationalizing insurance, ask them which they’d prefer: Keeping their insurance as-is, forcing the insurance companies to maintaining policies that will eventually start costing them money, OR just junk the grandfather plan regulations and let the insurance companies continue digging deeper into their customer’s pockets for plans that are utter shit.
