The bigger problem for the GOP, though, is that an impeached-and-removed-in-disgrace Trump Is going to cast a long and withering shadow over the Party for quite a while.

You could have said that about Nixon in 1974 and six years later, Reagan won 44 states, Republicans picked up 12 seats in the Senate (giving them a majority) and 34 in the House. Americans, for whatever reason, have short memories.
