His current remarks are continuous with his on-the-trail claims that basically every AA part of the country was a violent, collapsing inner city.

It’s because his audience isn’t the person he addressed—be that all “the blacks” or just John Lewis—it’s his merry band of condescending twats who desperately need to believe that it’s true, because they’re driven by schadenfreude envy and are unmanned by any “inferior” who does better than they can.
