That brings back memories of KROQ in the early 80s. Still remember the first song I ever heard on it when I moved to Los Angeles—Romeo Void’s Never Say Never and it was uncensored. Now I had NEVER heard anything like KROQ back in Pittsburgh.

Oh, my bible thumping aunt threw a fit when she heard me listening to KROQ. She made me watch Trinity Broadcasting’s “expose” of backward masking where they alleged that playing songs like Stairway To Heaven backward you heard “My Sweet Satan”. Her minister really got into that backward masking shtick. In one sermon he went as far as to play the Mister Ed theme backward and he insisted that we heard “Satan Is Served By This Song”. Frankly I thought he was full of CENSORED…

Did you tell your aunt that you played her expose backwards and it said “I am stealing your money”?
