Okay, taking wagers on his response: I don’t think he’ll resign, he’ll throw in a bit about how he’s been praying and Jesus forgives him, and he’ll blame alcohol abuse. As I said, part of me feels bad but the other part of me who knows what my gay friends have to deal with politically by guys like this has no sympathy.

Probably won’t resign, but might decide not to run for reelection and simply “retire.”
