Lawrence O’Donnell has constantly been reporting and editorializing the key to the whole Trump mess is Jared. He mentioned Tuesday night Donny Jr. is a dumbass, but he is going to be key to taking Kushner down. He figures Mueller will toy with Junior to get to Jared.

I think Lawrence figures if they make Kushner cry, he will blow it all for Trump.

Rachel last night was talking about the Kushner family’s nasty past and how they even screw their own.

Makes me think Jared will turn on Trump to save his own butt. There is his wife to worry about, but if Rachel is correct about the lack of character in the Kushner clan, Jared might be prepared to suffer the consequences of his marriage to again save his own ass.

The rest of this year is going to be one big real political reality show. It’s got it all!

I’m coming around to the idea that I mentioned the other night - that Trump isn’t actually running this whole scam (although he most definitely complicit), and that it’s Kushner, Evita, Uday and Qusay pulling the strings with Jared running the show.

There was a snippet the other day about how Kasowitz was pissed that Jared was ‘whispering in Trump’s ear’ and dragging him off-point from the actual legal jeopardy that the lot of them are in.

It doesn’t seem too far fetched that this group of Mean Kids figured they could let the Old Man prattle on and wreck shit and attract all the attention (and take the resultant shit) while they funneled more and more money into the Trump coffers.

The fly in the ointment is contained in Josh Marshall’s piece - they’ve all led sheltered, pampered lives where they’ve always been able to get away with anything. They’ve never come up against anything like the operation Mueller has mounted against them, and they think defeating that will be as easy as everything else that’s been handed to them all their lives.

But despite what they think, they’re nowhere near smart enough to pull it off.
