Propaganda often doesn’t require dishonesty. The selection of which stories to tell and which stories to ignore is extremely powerful.

Al Franken argued convincingly that the Media are not biased one way or the other politically. What they ARE biased against is doing their fucking job, because it’s easier to follow the crowd than to investigate, to cover the horserace instead of investigating which sides claims are bullshit, to make everything the next “-gate” rather than expose the hollowness of most faux scandals, and to sensationalize rather than inform.
