Maybe from the various acts of war Russia’s been involved in perpetrating since 2014?

The invasion of ‘the’ Ukraine might be enough by itself (we gave that country a Poland-style territorial guarantee and I’m still annoyed that Obama just sat by and let it become worthless ink on paper—IIRC, she agreed with me); the hijacking of our entire democratic process was an act of war, and honestly I don’t know that with Hil in power, and confrontation at some point inevitable, that Putin hasn’t made his move for a land connection to East Prussia already, instead of holding off until who-knows-when.

That’s not a metaphor, either, ‘the Kaliningrad’ is literally the heart of East Prussia, and at least that name doesn’t keep glorifying the Communist International.
