re: #228 Decatur Deb

It’s hard to imagine slavery persisting another generation in the face of technology and developing humanism throughout the “first” world—America would have been a pariah nation.

Taking Thaddeus Steven’s approach would have made it bloodier, longer, and the South would persist as a Northern colony. Some around here think it is.

Thank god though, the real bombs have been planted that will really change the south.

The Big Cities in all the states. The Islands of Blue in State of Red.

They are blowing up and wanting to be different from their historical issues and perceptions.

They are more liberal and some of that is also being pushed by big companies and foreign businesses investing.

Many of the younger people are buying it and moving in.

What are you gonna do when they leave the farms and go to the big city???
