The incident I was referring to, as posted in comment 166, occurred in 2017 while Trump was President.

And frankly, for their continuing failure to report on Trump from the moment of his candidacy in 2015, I have no sympathy for the NYT. The anecdotal information I have seen, on this website and others, leads me to believe that the NYT was well aware of Trump and his activities.

They are. But the Times made the business decision that it’s in their interest to keep that crook in the Oval Office.
