Even if it is technically electioneering, and everyone agreed it ought to be covered up, it is hardly “suppressing” anyone.
Heck, I’m about to go to a religious institution to cast my ballot - which has been the case for several years now, it seems - and while I think it is a bit crazy I don’t feel “suppressed” by all the religious symbols. Perhaps some others might feel intimidated and I wish purely secular locations would be used for polling stations, but it still doesn’t count as “suppression”.
