re: #47 OhNoZombies!

What she means is that some want it both ways.
In one respect, people think its cool to move into gentrified areas. On the other hand, they have disdain for the people already living there.
In the end, because these are the hip places to live, the original inhabitants get priced out.
You have to understand, #solidarityisforwhitewomen was stressful. Instead of listening to what was being said, people became defensive. It was very emotional, and in some cases, combative.

Context is key. As I said, whether he meant to or not, he came off as either being willfully obtuse, or that other guy I spoke of earlier.

I should probably stay out of this, but oh well.

I saw @aurabogado get in a very bitter argument with someone over political tactics at the end of July. Even though I agreed with her as far as the tactics go, she got very unreasonable in her tweets to people she disagreed with.

I followed that conversation more closely than the one yesterday, and I know the #solidarityisforwhitewomen hashtag was an emotional thing, and Bouie should have been on eggshells if he wasn’t, but I don’t think Aura Bogado is very good at having an emotional discussion. She doesn’t play fair.
