I agree we only get one shot. And I’ve never said the impeachment vote should happen immediately. But the inquiry - the investigation - must happen. There’s a very circular/cynical logic to saying we can’t investigate unless we have the votes, while knowing we can’t get the votes without the investigation.

The problem is that leadership seems rather uninterested in doing the work of investigation and oversight; so their not even willing to lay the ground work.

Whereas I would say that they’ve been quietly doing the groundwork since the session started, and sentiment for taking the next step has been growing.

After the August recess would be a good time to start taking the next steps.
