There are several issues here which we see in our microcosm of LGF, but which are also amplified across the country as a whole, and to some extent the world. The single biggest problem is the US media, most particularly the fascist networks that pump lies, fear and hate across cable and the internet.

Some of our news media are selling an agenda and an ideology, the problem is that lots of them are just selling advertising time and do not care what kind of crap they broadcast as long as it appeals to their target audience.

Plus it is cheaper to get an intern to mine the Internet for stories than to pay money for investigative reporting.

People like Breitbart and Matt Drudge made their “reputations” from just floating whatever dreck they wanted to see on the Internet until the networks picked it up and ran with it because “Trending on Twitter” is a news item in itself these days.
