Democrats call for allowing the voters to decide if abortion should be allowed in West Virginia. The W.V. special session to ban abortion failed to pass a new law, so the A.G. is battling in court to enforce a 19th century abortion ban instead of the 20 week ban instituted in a modern law; I have a hard time understanding why a 19th century law banning all abortion wasn’t superseded by the modern law.

Because the AG said so.
