Cold/allergy attack triggered yesterday so I stayed home in bed and skipped Halloween-ing festivities.* Today has dawned cool, rainy, and the sound of large pounding jackhammers.**

* - Which is usually just a small party in the lobby of the apartment building. No trick-or-treaters. Am also skipping the costume party I was invited to that is being held tonight.

** - In this case the jackhammers are not in my head. They work Saturdays on the construction sight nearby - and they’re about 40-45’ down now and have a nice echo chamber.

Mrs. Fish led the fishspawn on their quest for sugary treats, while I stayed behind and manned the gates against the hordes of tiny costumed invaders. It actually worked out pretty well for all parties involved.
