Oh I agree. But the picture we are seeing may very well encourage more and more lazy thinking.

Let me ask it this way. Did you ever think that in 2016 you would see the ‘picture’ of people talking about a flat earth?

I didn’t. And if you say no you didn’t think you’d see anybody mention the possibility of a flat earth…to me you already admit the picture is changing. And it is not changing for the good. To me a signal of the end of progress.

Of course, I also didn’t think we would see what appears to be successful and reasonable people questioning vaccination medicine. THAT is what scares me. It shows with enough support by others you can believe in things that will kill you.

No progress in that. So, is the ‘picture’ showing we are at the end of liberal arts and progressive thinking?

People follow ‘pictures’. That was what Orwell was on about in 1984. Pictures (manipulated image) are not real, but they can be sold as real and used to control the reality. Put enough question into accepting accepted science and we have problems. And it is not paranoid thinking. We are seeing it.

Maybe we aren’t going to go all the way backwards, but this surely means you’ll need to reeducate on things that should already be taken as the facts. To me it is being stuck axle deep in the mud…we aren’t going anywhere.

What happens when progress is stopped? I don’t think I really want to find out. It’s bad enough now.
