Well, many here probably known my stance over these minimum wage efforts… but I appear to be among the minority of those who consider themselves progressive in any sense.

I expect the cost of goods and services I need to significantly increase as states start to dramatically increase the minimum wage.

It was estimated that if Walmart were to raise the minimum salary to $12/hr, the average yearly grocery bill for people shopping there would go up $21. That’s for the entire year.

For most businesses, employees are not their biggest cost. Plus, we wouldn’t have to spend as much of our taxes on things like SNAP if workers made enough to not need be on them.
