Do we know that the story about Pompeo pushing for this assassination is true? Isn’t it in direct conflict with the allegations that the assassination was added to the list of options because it was extreme and no one thought he would select it? How do we know whether any of these stories are actually true, rather than fake anecdotes leaked by sources to control the coverage?
