Because Spacejesus is an attention freak, he/she/it knows how stupid/vapid/dumb/meaningless he/she/it sounds, but typical of people with this psychological profile, negative attention is better than no attention. So, he/she/it will bring ridicule on itself, rather than fade away into the vast nothingness of anonymity.
