I really don’t see why everyone is shocked/dismayed that the US military employed a MOAB in support of operations in Nangarhar Province.
They dropped a number of Vietnam era “Daisy Cutters”, which the MOAB replaced in the US weapons inventory, back in 2001.
Both weapons were used for the same purpose, to attack cave/tunnel networks and their surrounding defenses.

This is where I lose context. All I heard was, “We dropped a bunker-buster in Afghanistan.” By itself, that just tells me that Drumpf is out playing with new toys. If there’s more there that I am missing, that may change my view.
