At least our streets are clear. Any place you walked through the yard are clear. Still no water, (we saved 15 gallons potable before it was shut off.) but we collected 10 gallons right off the roof today for flushing (We are now under California rules: If it’s yellow, let it mellow. If it’s brown, flush it down.)

In an absolute pinch, you still have about 30-40 gallons of good water in your water heater. To get it out, open a hot water faucet for air replacement, then find the bottom drain. Put a chunk of garden hose on it. GO SHUT OFF THE HEATER CIRCUIT BREAKER OR GAS SUPPLY SO YOU DON’T COOK AN EMPTY TANK WHEN POWER RETURNS.
