It always irks me when young earth creationists explain hidden fossils as “things that God has planted for us to find”, or far off galaxies as “illusions put there by God for us to see”.

I really doubt that God is playing games with us. It does not make sense for God to be deceitful.

It makes more sense that He has the ability to put things in motion while knowing the exact outcome Billions of years later.
