/rant on

Last night I invested over 90 minutes of my time in creating a page on the current debate about lowering the legal limit for drunk driving. I was aware that my view in favor of such a move would not be popular, and clearly it wasn’t. I posted with the idea of having some discussion on the topic, and got it. I disagree with almost every response, but I can live with that. However, one lurker called “jehosaphat” has seen fit to downding each of my comments defending my position. Well, obviously anyone registered here has the right to up or downding as they see fit…and I consider whining about downdings to be bad form in general. Even so, I think it is fairly shitty to downding my every comment there without stating a position. As I mention the conversation going on is contentious, but also civil. There was not a single downding there at all until this lurker who has never posted anything here (at least not in many months) got involved.
