The Tea Party protest I heard the most about was the one which was organized on the last day to file taxes, April 15…and according to a Wiki entry, these protests began in 2009. (no mention of StormFront or neonazis, btw.)

RP was holding Tea Parties back in 07.

On December 16, 2007, during the first political Tea Party in modern history, supporters of Ron Paul’s presidential campaign came together and raised over $6 million online in one day. That event is documented here.
