I can’t be the only one thinking this is a bad idea, and excellent justification for all the banks that wanted to refuse the bail-out money forced on them last year.

It is troubling that the nation’s “pay czar” doesn’t have a good understanding of basic economics.

Think about it. If you were a top talent in your field and someone cut your compensation in half, what would you do? What kind of talent would take your place at half pay?
