The BBC’s Shoib Hasan says that thousands of security personnel are converging on the Karachi base. Hasan reported that he and other media crews are moving back from the perimeter because of heavy fire in the area. Pakistani marines and other forces stationed at the base have been heavily engaged for some time. That and the extent of the damage point to a much larger raiding force than the 12-15 initially reported.
