Spinoffs get wearisome. Some work out OK, like L&O: SVU, or Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. Others drop the ball, either because the writing is poor or the actors don’t have the right chemistry.

Do/did we really need multiple versions of Law & Order, CSI, NCIS, Star Trek, Stargate , etc., running at the same time?
