Steel industry here is in dire straits too. It’s a shitty situation when you’re saddled with a government that has to be prodded into investing in the kind of infrastructure projects that might bolster the manufacturing market.
Austerity sucks.

While we are dealing with ancient infrastructure in steel manufacturing the rest of the world is much newer since they started their steel operations much later than we did.

Is it really the government who needs to invest in keeping their manufacturing at the latest levels to compete against the world? I can see partial investment but these are for profit companies. I am really quite torn here.
