If, and that’s a big if, the reported mortality rate of 3% is accurate, then it’s not close to 1918. The mortality rate there was 10%-20%. But given the increase in world population, if it’s as easily spread as the 1918 flu, there could be a similar number of deaths. But, we will probably learn the truth very soon.
