I didn’t see anywhere a reason being given for not attending the conference, or an ideological distancing from the organizers. Just a simple statement about the unlikihood of attending.

At this stage, it would be very very difficult — nigh-on impossible, actually — to reverse courses and suddenly say all the Euro-far-rightists are evil. I don’t think we’ll be seeing much of a change at all, but rather just skipping one conference until the hubbub blows over.
