The way things were going a few years ago it looked like the whole aerospace industry was going to get wrapped up into only two companies: Boeing, and L-M.
Yeah. I guess it’s good that someone bought McDonald-Douglas though. Now they can provide product support. Had they not bought MD all of that product support would have disappeared save a few select vendors. Boeing kept itself afloat with their passenger airline business while companies like Lockheed and MD couldn’t keep up (i.e. the L1011 and the DC-10 and variants). LM of course is out of the airline business. Now Boeing has to compete with Airbus and Embraer.
