You’re right, he won’t back down, and the Tea Party will crucify him for that. They want ideological purity, and he’s the antithesis of that. If anything, his run would prompt questions of why he’s suddenly popular as a candidate when John Huntsman has been running for weeks and gotten little attention.

Fuck the Tea Party. The Independents are going to decide who the next President is, not the Tea Party.
