BTW, I have two cute little artificial trees in my office. With ornaments. I’m calling them my atheist Christmas trees, and one has a string of Halloween lights on it, and there isn’t a damned thing anyone can do about it.

Nobody is making anyone not celebrate Christmas, or the holiday season, however they choose. It doesn’t work that way here in the US. That WoC is one of the oldest lies in the fundie toolbox. Likewise, nobody has to celebrate it, they only have to endure the traffic and shopping, if that’s how they see it.

I came home to find that my husband had constructed a Christmas tree out of stacked books and tinsel wreaths. He saw it on Reddit.

He used some of my books to create the base. I may substitute. I just don’t think the book of Chasidic folktales about pious women is comfortable in there. Or the Eli Weisel.

It is very cute.
