Not at all. You don’t need twitter for impenetrable bubbles. Before twitter, people read fringe papers, listened to wacko radio, and were just as difficult to reach. We’re just more aware of them. (Going out and voting instead of staying home and despairing at the state of the world is new, though. Probably to do with the rise of megachurches.)
