Anyone who was alive during the Cold War has no business being shocked, surprised, or offended by the “revelation” that the United States spies on other countries or that it can and will spy on its own citizens if it sees a reason to do so.

Have people just forgotten the 40+ years of Cold War paranoia in this country? WTF.

Yes, I have concerns about the NSA and FISA, but give me a fucking break. It’s not news to anyone that we spy on others.

Will they be surprised that those same countries have been spying on us too?
